On the final competition night, delegates will introduce themselves in an opening number dress. Five (5) finalists per division (four highest scores and the winner of People’s Choice), will be announced. Preliminary scores are dropped and scoring for the Finalists begins again.

The Finalists go on to compete in the national costume, High Tea Couture, evening gown, Their impact video will be played during the finals night pageant.

Before the last judging of the five Finalists per division, all delegates will participate in a parade of evening gowns. The judges will then have one last look at the finalists who will be ranked for crowning with 1 being the highest rank.

The ranks will be assigned points as follows:

  • 1= 10 points
  • 2= 8 points
  • 3= 6 points
  • 4= 4 points
  • 5= 2 points

The last look will be considered by the judges and executive staff.

The impact video is a prepared video that delegates bring and submit to the pageant during registration. Place video on a FLASH drive. Label the FLASH DRIVE with your name.

The video will be no more than 2 mins (there will be point penalties if video is longer than 2 mins), and should showcase the delegate making a difference in their realm of influence.

The judges are not necessarily looking for the most “prestigious,” candidate, but a genuine candidate who can eloquently articulate who they impact and why they do it.

The creative direction of the video is up to the delegate.

In this competition, you will wow the judges with your interpretation of a glamorous outfit of choice that you would wear to a tea party/ garden party/ derby party. The key word here is “couture.” That means we are looking for over-the-top, innovative, and runway-worthy fashion that inspires the judges and audience.

Some of the things the judges will be looking for in this category: are creativity, elegance, presentation, and fashion-worthiness (meaning does this qualify as couture).

Your interpretation can include any dramatic elements that suit your style, body, and personality. You may choose to wear a cocktail dress, pants, or shorts. No evening gowns are permitted.
